By Brandon Armant (January 2, 2023) - I was recently honored to introduce the first-ever Black U.S. Senator from Georgia, the Reverend Raphael Warnock, during his campaign for re-election. With my company's recent expansion to Georgia, BAMM joined our partners Can I Kick It and Good As Burgers, in Atlanta, to connect artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs with Senator Warnock’s re-election platform.
Senator Warnock is a man of strong faith and incredible strength whose courage in the face of adversity has been an inspiration to many. In 2021 he made history by becoming the first Black person ever elected to represent Georgia in the United States Senate. The level of enthusiasm that surrounded his re-election campaign was extraordinary, and it was a true privilege to be able to introduce him at this event that we had worked so hard on organizing.
The senator spoke about a broad range of topics during his time with us – some related to his run for re-election, some focused on broader issues facing our nation today such as health care reform, income inequality, criminal justice reform and access to higher education – and he did so with a passion that inspired all of us present. Even more impressive were his plans for how he will continue working towards finding solutions if given another term in office – this is something that all Georgians should be excited about!
It was truly an honor to have met Senator Warnock and gotten the chance to introduce him at this wonderful event – it is experiences like these that remind me why I am so passionate about my work as an entrepreneur!
